Lata Vyas, head of alternative funds products for Europe at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), noted a surge in interest from American firms seeking to replicate their U.S. successes across the Atlantic. "Europe represents a high-value market for these products," she said.
The European market presents distinct challenges, with different distribution platforms and regulatory landscapes compared to the U.S. BBH has been advising clients on these nuances, facilitating dialogues between asset managers and law firms. Vyas emphasized that increased U.S. participation could accelerate Europe’s development in private markets.
